We're starting early this year for lots of reasons:1. The performance has been moved up to Oct. 24-28
2. You get to spend all Summer with the script
3. We get to try this blog thing out as a way to centralize information on the play and share ideas.
4. No Freshmen.
This blog will act as a Callboard throughout our process, which means I want you to check it out as often as possible!
AUDITIONS will be held on Wednesday, May 23 at 7:00pm in the Drama Room. I will post audition scenes later this week, so stay tuned.
The condition you keep your scripts in is part of your audition. I'm not kidding. This play will take a lot of work on everyone's part and it is to be approached with serious effort. We cannot afford to be as casual in rehearsals as we have been in previous years. Upon casting, each actor will be given a contract to fill out, which will speak to the expectations of professionalism during this rehearsal process.

Ok Sims. This is Caitlin. I have read the script...I do like it. I am concerned about our lack of guys. Normally we dont have that many. are we gonna be ok?? Cause there do seem to be a good many (Schill, Mayor, Pastor, Blind men, Pedro, Husband #8 etc.)
besides that, which you obviously can handle, I am extremely excited!

Crazy contract! But I totally agree! But as you know I want small parts, such as The Painter... and any others you need me for. However, I look forward to for once actually acting in one of these bad boys!

This play is going to be pretty stylized, kind of like UBU ROI. Some girls will be playing male roles. There may be some masks involved - not quite sure yet. It will be a lot of work, but that's why we're getting started so early. I'm going to post audition page numbers later today.
